Mississauga Flagstone Repointing

At this mansion home in Mississauga, our team at Dahi Masonry Co. completed a full repointing of the flagstone patio and poolside area. The original mortar joints had cracked and deteriorated over time, leaving gaps that allowed water to seep in and weaken the surface.
We started by grinding out every joint using a Bosch grinder paired with a dust extraction system for a cleaner, safer workspace. Each joint was then hand-chiseled to full depth, vacuumed, and carefully taped to ensure crisp, clean lines before new mortar was applied.
Using Type S mortar, every section was repointed by hand,
a time-consuming process but one that guarantees strength, durability, and a consistent finish. Despite variable joint depths and several rain delays, the final result came together beautifully: sharp lines, solid joints, and a uniform tone across the entire surface.
At Dahi Masonry Co., we believe in taking the extra time to do it right. This project is a perfect example of craftsmanship over shortcuts, clean, durable work that will stand the test of time.
